Georgia COVID-19 Pandemic Business Safety Act
Warning
Under Georgia law, there is no liability for an injury or death of an individual entering these premises if such injury or death results from the inherent risks of contracting COVID-19. You are assuming this risk by entering these premises.
*Please keep in mind that anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult during SAYOR hours, this is different than the age minimum for guarded hours. For guarded hours, children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult (18+).
Reminders, do not prop the pool gates open. Some residents have not submitted their SAYOR (Swim At Your Own Risk) forms so their cards will not work when a guard is not scheduled. Pool access is restricted to HPRA members and their guests. Residents of Highland Pointe who are not HPRA members do not qualify as guests.
Guard hours are subject to change.
Pool Party Information: Highland Pointe requires an extra guard for all pool parties of 15+ people. You must contact Nautix to book the guard and the pool director to confirm your party date.
POOL HOURS & SAYOR
To facilitate access and responsible use of our facilities and to allow Swim at your Own Risk during designated hours, we have installed an access control system on the swimming pool gates, the tennis court gates and the lower level of the clubhouse; in addition to the steam room and exercise room. The access card will be assigned to your home address. You will need to use this card to unlock the pool gates at all times, even when lifeguards are on duty. Please do not prop open the gates. From 9:00 pm to 6:00 am, access to the pool will be denied, from 11:00 pm to 6:00 am access to the tennis courts will be denied and from 11:00 pm to 6:00 am access to the lower clubhouse will be denied. During SAYOR you must be 18 years old or older, unless accompanied by an adult. A button to open the pool gate when exiting the pool area is installed on one of the fence posts as you leave the pool area. Please be sure to close the gate securely when entering or leaving the pool.
ACCESS CARDS
If you would like an additional card or to replace a lost card, there will be a $25.00 charge. Also, if you become delinquent for not paying homeowner dues, any associated late/legal fees, or non-payment of violations resulting for property inspections, there is a $50.00 charge to reactivate your card(s). Cards for homeowners with current delinquencies will not be authorized to access the pool gates, tennis courts and lower clubhouse until delinquencies are paid. At that time, the card will be reactivated. You should allow 5-7 business days for the card to be reactivated. It is important to remember that your access card remains the property of Highland Pointe and will be tied to your home residential address in Highland Pointe, to be used continuously year after year. You will return the access card when you sell your property or no longer join the Highland Pointe Recreation Association. You will NOT receive a new card each year but will have it reactivated as yearly Recreational dues are paid.
The use of the Highland Pointe Recreation Association facilities has inherent risks. By using your access card at the pool gates, tennis court gates or the lower clubhouse door, you accept those risks and release and forever discharge Highland Pointe, the residents of Highland Pointe, the Highland Pointe Homeowners Association and the Highland Pointe Recreation Association, Inc., its members, officers, directors and agents from any claims for damages, property damage, personal injury or accidental death occurring at or resulting from use of the Highland Pointe pool area. Furthermore, you also assume liability for any claims for damages, property damage, personal injury or accidental death by any person accompanying you or gaining access to the pool area by your actions. You also agree to release and indemnify Highland Pointe, the residents of Highland Pointe, and the Highland Pointe Homeowners Association and the Highland Pointe Recreation Association, Inc., its members, officers, directors and agents for any claims for damages, personal injury or accidental death by any person accompanying you or gaining access to the pool area by your actions when there is no lifeguard on duty. Please review the Pool Rules on the Highland Pointe website. These rules can be found under the Amenities section. Underage drinking will not be tolerated. The homeowner is responsible for their underage children and their guests. The Police will be called if underage drinking is suspected.
The pool is typically open 11:00 am – 9:00 pm every day of the week. Please check the pool calendar above for changes in the hours and the pool closing early for swim meets.
